Stacked brioche french toast with blueberries with syrup being poured on

French Toast

Blueberries (Optional)

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a wide bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cream, and spices with a fork.
  3. Add 1 tbsp of butter to the hot pan, while it melts dip one slice of bread into the batter, fully coating both sides. Place bread in pan and cook, 2-3 minutes per side, until golden.
  4. In a small pot or skillet, add blueberries, sugar, and  1 tbsp water. Heat over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until berries are hot and about 1/2 have burst, about 4 minutes. Add spices and mix until combined.
  5. Top french toast with blueberries and maple syrup.

This is my base french toast recipe to use with plenty of different toppings. Be creative!
